ABOUT CAMILLE FOURNET

Camille Fournet could keep the myth of its founder going, the myth of a bold saddle crafstman from Picardy who moved quickly in Paris in 1945 to conquer the most prestigious watchmaking Houses and advised customers. Since the takeover of Jean-Luc and Françoise Déchéry in the mid-1990s, the House has never ceased to develop from opening stores in Paris to settling in Tokyo or Beijing: the recognition of a well-founded know-how and of a special place in the world of leather goods. It's a reward for a House which took the gamble on independence and Made in France products, developed in Picardy.

THE WATCH STRAPS

Camille Fournet's leather watch strap combines artistic creativity with the highest level of technical rigor and embellishes its functional aspect in the materials and colors. The watch straps are Made in France in Picardy in the Camille Fournet manufacture by French crafstmen: a superior know-how.

LE PLISSÉ

How to merge technical prowess with aesthetics. A pleating method invented in the Camille Fournet ateliers, adapted to the shapes and characters of the House’s two iconic bags, the 32.06 Hobo and the 32.07 Tote, as well as the 31.01 wallet.

A game of strips of material and stitches create the illusion of a faceted surface, which requires meticulous precision at each moment, from cut to assembly. A certain idea of creative experimentation, which is dear to Camille Fournet.

THE SMALL LEATHER GOODS

Objects in tension : the lines are dynamic and fresh, yet unfold with suppleness. The most beautiful leathers are hidden to be better appreciated, the universal colors are lined in bright hues and the most sophisticated functionalities are unveiled with simplicity.

Limited editions available on the ground floor of Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche.

THE BAGS

A bag is a personal object, which one carries against one’s body, each day. In a tension between luxury, design and crafstmanshipm, Camille Fournet will propose leather goods collections that align tradition and innovation. Our know-how are tokens of modernity.

CAMILLE FOURNET AND THE ARTISTS

A taste of creative experiment and luxury for oneself. Camille Fournet likes to play with materials and colors. While customers are invited to write their own "piece of music" with our tailor-made service, the artist/composer Jacopo Baboni Schilingi created an astonishing Pianorama for which he composed a range of sounds from the backgrounf noises of a workday at the manufacture: the tools rythm, the chairs pushed away when the lunch bell rings, the rubbing of the crafstmen gestures.
