START THE NEW YEAR WITH RESOLUTIONS YOU CAN KEEP!

We often make resolutions for the New Year. Wouldn’t it be great if you could turn your daily beauty routine into actions for the planet in 2019?
Let’s take a look at three brands that are campaigning for environmentally responsible beauty that is 100% eco-friendly: Chantecaille, Ren and Omoyé.

CHANTECAILLE: Committed to Saving Elephants

Baobab oil that is ethically and sustainably produced in Zimbabwe gives Chantecaille’s Lip Veil lipstick its intensely moisturising texture. With FairWild and organic certification, this ultra-nourishing oil has been developed in partnership with local producers’ organisations.

And if you’re wondering why there are drawings of elephants on the boxes: Chantecaille is also committed to protecting animals and supports Space for Giants, an organization that strives to preserve the safety of elephants in Africa, whose numbers have dwindled to 4%.

REN: “Clean to Skin, Clean to Planet”

Ren starts with the simple equation that doing something good for yourself also means doing good around you. All the products in its range are formulated with non-toxic ingredients that are good for the skin. And to protect the environment, the containers are refillable and all the packaging is completely recyclable.

Atlantic Kelp and Magnesium Energising Shower Gel is part of this effort. It is made without sulphates and comes in a 100% recycled bottle made with 20% of reclaimed ocean plastic.

OMOYÉ: Fighting Deforestation

Omoyé is part of the Endowment Fund for Biodiversity that is fighting against the desertification of the Ferlo region in Senegal and the disappearance of threatened species like the baobab, which is also called “the pharmacist's tree” in Africa due its many healing properties.
For each product sold, Omoyé has committed to give 1 euro to the Fund to contribute to maintaining Ferlo’s ecosystem with an awareness campaign and by planting over 500 baobabs.
