WELCOME TO THE ERA OF THE MILLENNIALS!
A MODERN ROCK LOOK FOR AUTUMN
As Autumn approaches, the latest trend to hit Le Bon Marché is the Millennials. Largely inspired by Generation Y– people born between 1980 and 2000 – the trend brings a modern touch to the dressing room with oversized puffer jackets, slogan baseball caps, leather leggings and customised perfecto jackets. Find all our trend essentials with the latest collections in store at Le Bon Marché and discover fashion that plays on established rules.

Brilliant for many, but difficult to define for others, an entirely new generation that feeds on social media and the Tumblr culture is bringing a fresh approach to fashion with its very own self-constructed style. Taking its influences from all over, with no hesitation in mixing hip hop and underground culture, Millennials are infiltrating gangs and breaking down the boundaries surrounding luxury. Oversize logos from 1990’s pop culture and architectural cuts echoing the brutalism of working-class areas, these new style pros are constructing their own silhouette by layering one reference on top of another and ignoring established codes. This is more than a passing trend, it’s the start of a social revolution.
On the creative side, young French designer ALICE BALAS offers perfectos in leather and suede, with coloured details that bring a touch of rock to the dressing room. Choose black for a classic, timeless look, or a more vibrant colour such as red, orange or electric blue for a quirkier look. They can be custom-made down to the smallest detail.

Another of this season’s must-haves, which is making a huge comeback on the catwalks, is the puffer jacket. Ukrainian label IENKI IENKI features an oversized unisex puffer in a range of pastel shades with a belted waist, inspired by the futurism of the early 1990s. To complete the look, KOCHÉ creates pieces that combine lace and pleats with street style. A mishmash of influences where sportswear is mixed with a more formal style.
For leather goods and accessories, OFF WHITE needs no introduction, and their bags have finally arrived in store at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche. This season these new essentials with the famous logo, feature the latest minimalist design and are available in a new range of colours including a modern silver version. Finally, to ensure no detail goes untouched by this latest trend, MOUNSER creates gold and silver jewellery inspired by modern art, rock and space exploration. The brand focuses on curved lines and circular designs, creating earrings, chokers and bracelets that straddle the boundary between craftwork and the epic saga of science-fiction.
